BIOS
Advantech provides full-featured Embedded BIOS solutions that deliver the superior performance compatibility and functionality that System Integrators need. A variety of options and extensions let customers tailor their products to a wide range of target markets, with coreboot ready for practical usage. Secure boot options are optimized to make sure POST period before Operation System takeover is secured. Furthermore, it includes a BIOS suite for building custom firmware tools for multiple OSs, such as DMI, BIOS configurations, and modules.

DPX-E140
The DPX®-E140 is a completely integrated system for gaming applications. Based on the new AMD Ryzen™ Embedded V-Series platform, the DPX-E140 provides a complete PC platform with a passive cooling system for APU up to 25W and a fan cooler to support the highest APUs at 54W. The system uses AMD’s latest high performance dual and quad core SOC devices with "Discrete-level Graphics" from the integrated Radeon™ VEGA series graphics cores. Four independent monitors are supported via DisplayPort 1.4 DP ports. A full feature set of I/O and COMs designed specifically for gaming devices is also included making the DPX-E140 an ideal integrated platform for gaming, amusement and kiosk applications.

To fulfill customer requirements in equipment connectivity, data visualization, and predictive maintenance applications, Advantech offers the EIS-D210 Edge Intelligence Server, which is equipped with an Intel® Celeron® Processor N3350 and comes integrated with AWS Greengrass and Microsoft Azure IoT Edge, thus ensuring that IoT devices can respond quickly to local events, interact with local resources, operate with intermittent connections, and minimize the cost of transmitting IoT data to the cloud. In addition to supporting field protocols (MQTT/OPC/Modbus) for sensor/device data acquisition, the EIS-D210 can be used with the Advantech IoT SDK for wireless sensor (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LoRa) data integration. Furthermore, the EIS-D210 comes pre-integrated with Advantech’s WISE-PaaS/EdgeSense software solution, allowing users to incorporate sensor data aggregation, edge analytics, and cloud applications for fast and easy real-time operational intelligence. EIS-D210 provides a range of connectivity options with excellent data handling and networking connection capabilities for various IoT applications.

The MIC-6030 is a ruggedized single-slot 3U OpenVPX switch providing high-speed, low-latency interconnects between VPX blades connected to PCI Express and Ethernet backplane fabrics. An ExpressLane™ PEX8733 PCIe Gen3 switch connects to six PCIe Gen3 x4 ports enabling non-transparent and transparent bridging of processor blades for highly flexible multi-host and legacy configurations.

A Marvell® Link Street® 88E6390X Ethernet layer 2 switch with VLAN support switches gigabit Ethernet traffic between VPX blades connected to the Ethernet fabric enabling a linerate control plane.

When configured with optional Mellanox ConnectX®-4 Multi-Host™ Technology and drivers, the MIC-6030 enables high speed communication of up to 10Gbps bandwidth between up to 4 processor VPX blades VPX by transforming the PCIe bus into a programmable network interface, facilitating the development of data communication between boards and eliminating the need to program a more complex DMA interface.

The onboard BMC firmware based on Advantech’s IPMI core technology brings an advanced set of system management features and can be customized when unique features are required. Lightweight switch management is available via the BMC, supporting tagged and untagged VLANs, port-based VLAN, and port status reporting.

Advantech offers standard designs with either convection or conduction-cooling. A conduction-cooled heatsink ensures operation in harsher environments, providing a reliable solution for operation in extended temperatures, and where extreme shock and vibration requirements must be met. The MIC-6030 is compact, light and robust, meeting stringent size, weight, and power (SWAP) demands.
